Me, Real life

The Planning Journey – Part 1

These days I have been into planners. And in the space of 1 year I have acquired several planners, all in the name of searching for one that I can truly settle down with.

My first (brand) planner was the Color Crush from from Webster’s Pages. I bought 2 personal-size ones in Gold and Pink. The Pink one I gifted to my sister thinking she might find a use for it.

Several months later I got the Color Crush Teal and White Stripe, also in personal size. The reasoning behind it was that so I could use it as my travel planner. I travelled quite a bit in the recent years so I figured having a planner specifically for travelling would be useful.

After discovering the world of Kikki K, I switched over to this brand. Particularly after I saw several Facebook and Instagram posts on the Bubblegum planner. That immediately got me hooked. My first Kikki K planner was the Cute Watermelon (watermelon prints!) in personal size. I used it for several weeks before submitting into my ‘impulsive buying’ nature and got another one in A5 size. When Kikki K came out with the Cobalt Blue planner, I really wanted it and my ever-indulging boyfriend got me one. Unfortunately after keeping it (unused!) for a couple of weeks I finally realised that I didn’t actually need it and eventually decided to sell it so someone else could give it a better home.

Fast forward to months later: by this time Kikki K has released loads of pretty planners that I would gladly throw my money at (and have buyer’s remorse later), particularly the Vanskap series (I love cats, okay!). It was only because of sheer willpower and thinning wallet that held me back.

Having resisted all of the temptations I was confident I would be able to stick to my Cute Watermelon planner and just sail through the year with it. But boy was I wrong.
