I’m finally back from my 2-weeks vacation to the United Kingdom and France. It was such an amazing experience and most definitely an eye-opener. No matter how many times I’ve heard the places being described to me, or the countless times I’ve seen the places from the television, nothing beats a first-hand experience.
On the group’s arrival in Heathrow Airport, most of us were so exhausted and were suffering from jet-lags. 15 hours of flight time was enough to make everyone feel somewhat grumpy, then there was also the cold and chilly wind.
But everything started to get better soon enough. We arrived in Belmont Hotel where we stayed for 4 days and during those days, everyone was trying hard to adjust to the different time zone and weather. We toured most of London and it was quite fun. I wasn’t particularly happy about the wind and rain, which happen often but I did enjoy walking down the streets and looking at the beautiful buildings and parks.
I fell in love with Stratford-upon-Avon. Unlike London where everything has to move fast, a quiet town like Stratford is definitely a nice change for those who want to do things in a leisure way. You could do your things at your own time without needing to rush here and there.
Okay, will continue in Part 2.
