Internet, Me, Offline

Here I am

I know I’ve been MIA lately. I haven’t been on my blog, not even on Twitter and it seemed like I had disappeared from the interwebs. Truth be told, I was on the other side of the internet.[1. I don’t exactly know where this ‘other side’ is. Perhaps it’s safer to refer to it as ‘elsewhere’ instead?] I’ve kept myself busy with other things to actually say attention to this blog (shame on me!), which resulted in the big pile of comments that need to be returned. Honestly, I don’t think I’d be able to reply to those comments, seeing how long the time has lapsed between the time the comments were posted and my replies so I just decided to visit each of the commenters’ websites and comment their posts without making any references to the comments they left here. It’s fair that way as that way as I’m sure no one will remember what they posted here and there’s no point of bringing up something from weeks ago. Ahem.

Anyway, here’s a summary of what I’ve been doing for the past few weeks:

  1. Created a blog layout for someone I didn’t even know. I had no idea why I agreed to this but luckily the layout only took me less than one night to finish.
  2. Did some shopping for makeups. I’m never one to like makeup but lately I’m taking interest in it.
  3. Makeups
The makeups I bought from The Face Shop
  4. Reviving my interest in pixeling. Yes, you read that right. I’m into pixel graphics, again. I even made some (not very good, but I did try).
  5. Icecream and orange Kit-tea cup

  6. Visiting some cutesy forums and game websites.
  7. Reading some manga: Code: Breaker and Hana Yori Dango.
  8. Visiting some cutesy forums and game websites.

Okay, I think you’ve seen enough. By now, you would’ve noticed how unproductive my days were(are?). This is to be expected, because ever since I completed my teaching practice, I’ve been doing absolutely nothing to find myself a job. I’m spending my days at home, with a fixed (boring) routine; cleaning, laundry, jabbing away on the keyboard. For any sensible person, this would be enough to drive him/her insane.

  1. I haven’t returned comments for ages too, or I’ve just been reading random people’s blogs. It is going to take me forever to go through mine too, and just like you I’m just commenting on posts. ๐Ÿ™‚ It would take too much time to respond to everything so I’m only reading them. I think I am ten posts behind on comments. XD

The internet must have another side… the dark side. HAHA. ๐Ÿ˜› I’m pretty sure we just see that as the ‘real world’ or something like that.

I am not really into makeup either… but I do like skincare products like moisturisers and lipbalms. I am not really a fan of putting stuff all over my face – I always rub my eyes and things like that so I avoid using makeup.

Your pixels are good! I love them. ๐Ÿ˜€ I haven’t done pixelling in ages and to be honest I think I kind of gave up on them. I don’t have the patience for it anymore and I can’t believe I was so patient to make pixels before… *_*

I haven’t found myself another job to fill up the days I’m just stuck at home cleaning or doing chores and other stuff. I am starting to get mildly bored of the internet as well, to be honest. XD

routine is the enemy! while it can be good I try never to let it get me down but everyone gets in a funk time to time. you should do something out of the norm, something c r a z y but dont get arrested! haha

    1. LOL! Don’t get arrested? I’m afraid to even ask what kind of activities you have in mind. XD

      1. BJ

opps!! dont get arrested haha, sorry i wasn’t insinuating you doing something illegal just not to get caught, lol i should have phrased that better, don’t do anything crazy enough to put you in a situation which you might be arrested!

        1. Haha no worries, I get your meaning in the first place. XD

  3. Kim

Hooray, followed you on over to here!

To be honest, I don’t use makeup…ever. The last time I wore makeup was for choir shows and musicals and prom. lol! But yeah, makeup can be super exciting and fun. I definitely see that. Just don’t wear so much all the time that you lose your natural beauty!

Hana Yori Dango!!! I watched “boys over flowers” which is the Korean drama! It was pretty cute/funny although SUPER dramatic. My boyfriend watched it with me but never finished because he couldn’t take the epic dramaticness of it all haha. Overall I enjoyed it though, even though it got a bit ridiculous (but then again most Korean dramas seem to get really epic…haha).

  4. You bought a lot from The Face Shop. Aren’t the items kinda pricey like The Body Shop? I don’t know if they’re even affiliated to each other. Hehe.

I’ve been having this routine too, everyday. When I wake up in the morning, I have breakfast, then turn on my laptop, check my website, return comments, browse forums and social networks that I’m a member of, download something, eat lunch, go back in front of the pc, and the cycle starts over again til dinner. Pretty boring right?

But good thing I’ll be back to school in July, meaning I don’t have to spend the whole day at home and my eyes glued to my laptop.

  5. I admit, it was a bit upsetting to see the same old post every time I came on to Nekonette. You should be feeling guilty. ๐Ÿ˜› However, it’s good to take a break every once in a while, and I’m glad you took yours during June. It shall be rather stressful once the second part of the year starts.

I have a love-hate relationship with make up. For example, I love it because it’s fun to test the samples at department stores then walk out looking like a raccoon (which I did once!). However, I dislike it as personally, I think make up’s just for you to look prettier than how you look now and beauty is from the inside, but there are so many young ladies on the streets having their faces packed with make up.

These pixels are really nice! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you can do some more when you have the time.

Well, I understand their protectiveness for me, and that they all have kind intentions, but still. However, I’ve gotten over it and ta da, I’m simply going to look forward to the cooler Hong Kong in December.

Awww, I hope the plans change again and you get to come to Singapore. It’s a nice city, even though you probably wouldn’t like to pick up some Singlish on the streets, it stays with you forever! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. dont worry you;re not alone.. been MIA too for like quite some time now.. been busy with some things too… ๐Ÿ™

Actually comments nowadays are frustrating. I’ve always been blogging how people dont read your post and they just post whatever crap for hits and honestly I can name some of them, but what I do is that i give them what they deserve, I also comment crap on their sites..

Wish I could be as good as you in making pixels ๐Ÿ™ and yayyy for the faceshop prods.. I actually miss faceshop though.. Been thinking about re-watching hana yori dango too coz I miss Rui.. lol

  7. Why, I hope so as well! My mother is intending to purchase the air tickets first, so we can save up the rest of the money to buy things at Hong Kong. I think that’s a fabulous idea as that way we wouldn’t have to make sure we don’t spend beyond our means all the way, if you know what I mean.

Well, it’s becoming more and more modern-ish. It’s still pretty small, however, and I don’t believe it shall be growing any time now. However, I sure can say it’s becoming an expensive country. It’s rare to find sweets below 80 cents or around there any more.

I don’t understand why people are “ashamed” of how they look. I admit, sometimes I dislike how Iook, but people should appreciate what they are given. Oh well, I can’t change their personal opinion. Hahah.

Well, you got to reorganize your schedule! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. i’m not a fan of make-ups but i love lipsticks ๐Ÿ™‚

you’re so good in pixeling *i’m your fan*, i currently have computer graphics class and hopefully my professor can somehow teach us how to pixel,

  9. Why, thank you! I’m pretty sure you made the right choice. I had no choice over mine but it was an impressive camera, even though my mom paid more than she should. I like the color as well, it’s light purple, one of my favorite color mixtures. ๐Ÿ™‚

I currently have an Acer Aspire One, with my operating system as Windows XP. It annoys me as the interface is not very neat and nice, and the system is slow. If I’m not wrong, this computer was handed down. ๐Ÿ˜› However, one gadget this year is enough, I don’t need another one (yet! unless my dad manages to get Sims 3 for me).

Well, for us (and I’m fairly sure for you as well), the kids usually follow their father.

  10. Gel

I’m not much of a makeup person as well but it’s fun to experiment on things and be girly once in awhile ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s been awhile since i’ve seen those kinds of pixels, too! I envy your talent for it.

  11. Wow! You bought a lot of stuff at Face Shop. ๐Ÿ˜€ Buti ka pa, marunong mag pixel. Lol. I gotsss no talent.

    1. I actually wanted to leave a comment on your blog but when I clicked on the Submit button, there was an error instead. :/ But I did read your blog. ๐Ÿ™‚ So I’m guessing you’re a fan of Miley Cyrus? I’m glad you enjoyed the concert. ๐Ÿ™‚

      ————-

Yeah I bought a couple of stuff from Face Shop. Heheh.

Sorry, I don’t actually understand what you meant by ‘Buti ka pa, marunong mag pixel.’ I don’t, you see, speak Tagalog.

  12. I rarely respond to comments, and I blog regularly. I guess it’s because I usually forget what I write in my own comments, so people probably forget what they write in mine. I just go around and respond to blogs unless the person asks a question or says something that I really feel I need to address. So…don’t feel bad.

The pixel of the teacup is so cute. It does contain tea, right? I don’t know much about tea, so I just assume that’s what it is if it’s in a cup like that and isn’t coffee-colored. I love creating pixels as well. In fact, I’m in the mood to make them. It’s been awhile, so I’m afraid I may have lost my touch. I guess I won’t know until I try!

  13. wow you bought a lot sa face shop sis ah! i always go there to kill time, pero di ako bumibili. haha right now, im having make up rests as possible, kasi ang bilis magreact ng skin ko ngayongiving me acnes especially with foundation. anyways, review them sis! ๐Ÿ˜€ i once did pixelling. grabe ang cute kapag nakatapos ka ng isang pixel. i miss the good old days when almost everyone pixel anything! ^^ haha.

  14. I hate having a fixed boring routine. It does drive me crazy. I want to try out something new everyday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yay for your new make up! I love buying make ups but I never get to finish a pack because I always buy something new and end up not using the old ones. :p

  15. I had an awesome time there especially buying skin care products. It’s the heaven for skin care!

I was obsessed with make up for a period of time but really into skin care right now since good skin is for life! I’ve used the Laneige products for a week now and it’s amazing. I can already see some differences, so check it out if you can get your hands on some.

    What forums are you visiting?

  16. Like!! I blog frequently and I really thank you for your content. The article has truly peaked my interest.
