You get rude people everywhere. At work, on the street, in the shops, train stations; practically everywhere. But we know that some places would have more rude people than others, and a university is definitely not in that list. You would think that a university is a place where you have cultured and civilised people and it is not a place I would associate with this total douchebag.
I’ll tell you what happened actually. I was at the university’s ICT centre with my laptop this morning so that I could use the wireless connection. There were two other people already there before me: a guy and a girl. So I sat next to the girl as I don’t feel like sharing the space with the guy. Turns out this guy to be a selfish bum. He had his music played on so loud it just irritate the hell out of me. He thought I would enjoy listening to the music he is listening to. WRONG. Now this situation reminds me of those background music on websites where you are forced to listen to the music/songs the site owner put there. I’m not going into that whole argument again. If the bugger who is sitting across me is to ever open up a website, I’m never gonna give it a visit.
Anyway, I digress… I had to put up with his crappy stuff that he called music for hours because there was no other place for me to go. And I thought that was the end of the shit. Turned out I was wrong. I was in the middle of downloading a song when suddenly POP! The download bar stopped moving and I was like, “hey, what happened?” I looked around and guess what? The guy turned off the wall-switch of the wireless connection because he wanted to reset the connection because his laptop was not receiving the signal. He didn’t even bother to ask me if it was okay for him to turn it off for a second.
