I’d like to say thank you to all of you who had commented on the new theme. I’ve made some adjustments to it based on the feedbacks I received. I know the theme is a bit dull-coloured but since that’s the colour scheme I used, I guess I shall stick to it for now.
This is the second week of my teaching practice and so far, everything is going on as planned but there are a few things that came up unexpectantly. You can read the rest of the journal here.
I think I mentioned in one of my tweets about how long does it take to receive a package from Amazon.com and I remember saying that it takes about one month. A few days ago, I received a note saying that the books I ordered from Amazon.com has arrived and are waiting to be picked up. I asked my dad to pick it up for me since the post office is just a few blocks away from his office. I couldn’t pick them up myself because the package is under my dad’s name (I used his credit card to make the purchase). Unfortunately, my dad keeps on forgetting to pick up the package and I was told that if the package is not picked up after 14 days, it will be returned. I was like, “noooo!!” because today is the 14th day..
Ever thought that life is too short to accomplish anything? Sometimes I do feel that way. When I was a kid, I wanted to do lots of things like flying a plane, go sky-diving, do scuba diving, build a house next to the beach, etc. It was when I grew up that I know that there are some things that cannot be realised, even if it is possible, like the house next to the beach. Here, it is not possible to do so as you need the permission from the endless list of authorities which is probably designed to discourage us from doing anything like that. Anyway, even for the other things, you simply don’t have the time to do them. And before you know it, you are already too old for them.
