Okay, writing about myself has never been my forte so forgive me if this turns out to be a one crappy biography.

My given name is Amalina but on the internet I usually go by the name Kitty. Kitty was given to me by my boyfriend, Leon whom I met at the university in 2006.

I love writing blogs. That doesn’t mean I write good stuff, though. Unless something really interesting comes across my way, you can expect most of the time my blog entries will simply contain mundane things. That is not to say all of them are crap. You just have to sift through the words and make sense out of them.

I hold a Bachelor degree in Social Science Secondary Education, majoring in History. I graduated in September 2011. Currently I’m working towards a Master in South East Asian Studies while at the same time I am keeping my job as a part-time tutor at a private tuition school. This is quite an amazing achievement (to me, that is) since I am a well-accomplished procrastinator.

In my spare time I like to read. My all-time favourite book is the Lord of the Rings saga and by extension, J.R.R. Tolken is my favourite author. However, recently I have taken a great liking towards Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series and currently I am slowly building up my Discworld book collection. When I’m not busy with my offline life, I enjoy tweaking codes and graphic designing, but I can’t say I excel in those areas as well.

I enjoy talking to my online friends. You could say I have more friends in the cyberworld than in real life. Because it is easier for me to talk to people without looking at them in the face; I’m a shy person and I’m very self-conscious on how I look.
